About Ocean Reef Club(TM)& Key Largo

This exclusive enclave has its origins as a small hotel, accessible to the boating community through Angelfish Creek. Its popularity with yachtsmen and sports fishermen burgeoned in the 1960s and convinced the ownership to form a yacht club of their own. The response was enormous, as boat owners vied to fly the club's prestigious burgee.
Development of the residential community followed, and an enthusiastic, well-heeled boating community raced to purchase properties. 
Its seclusion, and an impressive membership roster, has helped to create a private, very secure environment. Over the years, the club has frequently hosted presidents, heads of state, leaders of the business world, sports stars and entertainment celebrities.
Ihe community has two challenging 18-hole championship golf courses, numerous tennis courts, a restricted airstrip for private planes, and a 175-slip marina. There are several fine and casual dining establishments, and a quaint shopping village.
Through the marina, members and sponsored guests can arrange fishing and diving charters, and almost any other warm water sport you can think of! Not surprisingly, the club is also host to several prestigious fishing tournaments.
Other recreational activities sponsored by Ocean Reef Club(TM)include croquet, lawn-bowling, miniature golf courses, basketball courts, swimming pools, children’s playgrounds and a spectacular salt-water tidal swimming lagoon with a white, sandy beach.
Land transportation can also be easily arranged: cars and golf carts (for both the course and touring the community) are available for rent.
A true resort, one need never leave Ocean Reef … but when guests do get wanderlust, the charm of the picturesque Florida Keys beckons, whether it’s a day trip to lively Key West, or a trip into “town” - Key Largo.
